  • What is NimbuzzOut?
  • NimbuzzOut is a new feature you can use on Nimbuzz mobile or on your PC that will let you call mobile phones and landlines at low rates
  • How does NimbuzzOut work?
  • NimbuzzOut sets up a VoIP connection over your 3G, Wi-Fi or internet network. You can use your NimbuzzOut credits to pay for calls to landline or mobile phone numbers at low rates (check the rates here).
  • How do I start using NimbuzzOut?
  • To use NimbuzzOut you need:
    • Nimbuzz installed on your mobile phone or PC
    • A Nimbuzz account
    • NimbuzzOut credits

    You can download Nimbuzz to your phone directly from our website or from your phone browser at get.nimbuzz.com. Download Nimbuzz for your PC from www.nimbuzz.com
    You can use your existing Nimbuzz account and buy NimbuzzOut credits via our website or within the Nimbuzz application: Go to the "Call" tab > Click on the top bar on the "Call" tab > Select NimbuzzOut as your VoIP provider > Click on Buy Credit > Follow the instructions on screen
    Using Nimbuzz on PC, click on your NimbuzzOut balance in the top right corner of the client to buy NimbuzzOut credit.
  • Can I use NimbuzzOut on my mobile phone?
  • NimbuzzOut is available for Nokia Symbian S60 3rd, 5th edition and Symbian ^3, iPhone and iPod Touch devices and all devices with Android as an operating system. Check on www.nokia.com if your Nokia contains the S60 3rd or 5th edition operating system (Choose your handset > Check specifications > Check Software).

    As we believe in making our services available in more and more devices, we have newly introduced Nimbuzzout in the following Nokia devices: Asha 302/303/309/310/311, C3-02, X3-01.

    NimbuzzOut is also supported on Nimbuzz for PC.
    We will support NimbuzzOut on more mobile phones and Mac computers in the near future.
  • Will NimbuzzOut work in my country?
  • We do support calling from all countries but due to some credit card restrictions, payments with credit cards from some countries are not possible and as a consequence calling will not be enabled there. You can check the list of unsupported countries here.
  • Can I keep my Nimbuzz username?
  • Yes, there is no need to create another account. You can use your existing Nimbuzz account and buy NimbuzzOut credits here.
  • Do I have my own Nimbuzz number where people can call me?
  • No, we do not currently offer this option.
  • How do I make a NimbuzzOut call?
  • If you want to make a call to your phonebook contacts while logged in to Nimbuzz:
    Go to the "Call" tab > Click on the top bar on the "Call" tab > Select NimbuzzOut as your VoIP provider > Go back to phonebook > Select a contact from your Nimbuzz phonebook and click on it. The call will start immediately!
    Make sure that all the phone numbers in your phonebook are in international format. To avoid any formatting problems, always start the number with "+" followed by the country code and the phone number.
    If you want to dial a number that's not in your phonebook while logged into Nimbuzz:
    Go to the "Call" tab > Click on the top bar showing "Dial a number" > Do not forget to start with a "+" followed by the country code (e.g.: + 44 and phone number if you are calling UK)
    To avoid any formatting problems, always start the number with "+" followed by the country code and the phone number.
    To make a call using NimbuzzOut for PC, select the "Dialpad" tab and enter the number you wish to call. Remember to include the international dialing code.
    To change your VoIP provider, click on your NimbuzzOut balance, select "VoIP provider settings", choose the "SIP provider" button, select your SIP provider from the list and enter your username and password.
  • Will my phone number be visible to others?
  • When calling a phonebook contact or dialing a phone number, your own phone number will not be visible. "Unknown" or "Blank" will be shown on the phone screen of the call receiver. In some cases it is even possible that a random number may be shown, depending on the operator and country you are calling.
  • How do I test the calling option?
  • To test the audio we recommend you call "Jimmy the Test Bot". If you can hear and record yourself for a few seconds, it will mean that you are able to place a call and the sound quality is correct.
    If you have problems calling or hearing "Jimmy the Test Bot" please contact us at nimbuzzout-support@nimbuzz.com and provide the following information:
    • Your Nimbuzz username (e.g. Username123)
    • Nimbuzz client and version in use (e.g. Symbian 2.2)
    • Type of internet connection (e.g.: 3G, GPRS, Wi-Fi, etc...)
    • The name of your Operator and country (e.g.: Vodafone in the UK)
    • The country and number you tried to dial (if applicable)
  • How much can I save on calling?
  • Call rates vary depending on where you want to call. Please check our rates with our rate calculator per country.
  • Will my mobile operator charge me for using NimbuzzOut?
  • Nimbuzz uses a data connection, and charges by your operator will apply unless you have an unlimited data plan or use a free Wi-Fi hotspot. Please check with your mobile operator for more information. We recommend that you use an unlimited (flat rate) data plan, which you can get from your operator.
  • How do I buy credits?
  • You can buy credits from our website or within the Nimbuzz application:
    Go to the "Call" tab > Click on the top bar on the "Call" tab > Select NimbuzzOut as your VoIP provider> Click on Buy Credit > Follow the instructions on screen
    To buy credits using NimbuzzOut for PC, click on your NimbuzzOut balance in the top right corner of the client and select the "Buy NimbuzzOut Credit". You will automatically be taken to the NimbuzzOut buying page.
  • Will I get a confirmation e-mail after buying NimbuzzOut credits?
  • Yes. You will receive a confirmation via e-mail indicating the cost of your purchase. You can also login to our website and check your buying history and obtain a copy of your purchase details.
  • Which payment methods are possible?
  • Currently we accept payments using the following credit cards: Visa and MasterCard. We are considering other methods such as PayPal for implementation in the future.
  • Are there any subscription charges for using NimbuzzOut?
  • No, there are no subscription fees. NimbuzzOut is a prepaid service.
  • How long will my credits be available?
  • As long as you use NimbuzzOut at least once every 6 months your credits won't expire.
    We will send you an e-mail once a week before you reach the 6 month expiry date if you are not using your NimbuzzOut credits.
  • Can I use the same credit card for different user accounts?
  • Yes.
  • Are there vouchers to send to friends?
  • No. This option is not available yet.
  • Can I give credits to another friend?
  • No. This option is not available yet.
  • Can I get a monthly/yearly subscription?
  • No. Nimbuzz does not offer this feature yet.
  • Will I be charged to answer calls?
  • Nimbuzz will not charge you for incoming calls. While we do not hand out specific Nimbuzz phone numbers to our users, incoming calls that are not incoming VoIP calls are not related to Nimbuzz. Check your operator for more details about the costs of incoming international calls.
  • I get the message "credit card failed".
  • When you select a credit card as your payment option you must ensure that you enter all your information correctly, otherwise we cannot accept your order.
    Please also ensure that the billing address you enter matches the billing address for your card.
    We do not accept debit cards; we only accept payments from credit cards.
    Note:
    To use a credit card for an online transaction it is necessary to have international transactions enabled and available funds in your account. Please check those details with your bank.
    If, after checking with your bank, there are no issues with your credit card balance and you have international transactions enabled, please send an e-mail to nimbuzzout-support@nimbuzz.com with the following information:
    • Any error message you received when trying to make a payment
    • Any other information that might be relevant
  • I get the message "disallowed country" when trying to make a payment.
  • We do not currently support credit cards from the countries listed here
    Please use a different credit card. If one is not available, we will be unable to credit your account with additional funds at this time.
    Note: We are considering alternative payment methods, such as PayPal, for the future.
  • I bought credits but my credit does not update. What should I do?
  • Try to close and re-open the application to refresh the credit.
    If that does not help, please send the following information to our Support Team
    • Your Nimbuzz username (e.g. Username123)
    • Nimbuzz client and version in use (e.g. Symbian 2.2)
    • Type of credit card used and the last 4 digits of your credit card
    • Date and time when the payment was done (e.g. 25/07/2009 10:30AM)
  • I am not able to top up my credit.
  • To prevent fraud and for security reasons, NimbuzzOut users cannot purchase more than $53 of calling credit per week.
    Based on your calling behavior your account limit will be automatically raised to allow additional credits to be purchased
  • Can I change my credit card details?
  • Our call charges are normally charged in one-minute increments and will be rounded up to the nearest Euro cent or Dollar cent (or other applicable currency unit) , You could check our latest call rates here.

  • What is Nimbuzz's refund policy?
  • Nimbuzz has a strict 'no refunds' policy and all sales are final.
    There are no refunds unless there is an extended system-wide outage of service encompassing all of the following: local access, toll-free access, domestic termination, and international termination, or other system failures as determined by Nimbuzz BV at its sole discretion.
